choosing a name question (no this is not help me pick a name topic)
Just got a quick question. I read this article on the wiki http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Rolepla...acter_creation
It listed several restrictions and rules on character names, my question is, how do I use the Taiwan option? does it have something to do with where I live or does it have something to do with the game installation? I personally live in U.S. but I'm chinese so i was wondering if it's possible to make a character whose name is all in chinese characters. Yes I realize this might sound strange and it might make it very hard to find PUGs, but with the introduction of Heroes I H/H most of the game anyways. Thanks for helping. |

You have to live there, and it goes by Taiwanese retail keys as well I think, not by American.
Bottom line: you can't use those characters for your name. |

I think it depends upon the region you first decided to join when you installed Guild Wars. You would have had to have specified the Taiwan region.
But, there is a possibility that, now that you can freely roam between america, europe, and korea districts, you may be able to use the characters available to the Koreans. I don't know if that's only Korean and English, or if they can do Chinese too. |
